Getting Started
Using ReachOS is incredibly simple and involves just three steps.
Step 1: Download an ISO Image
Navigate to our Download Page and select the ReachOS ISO image corresponding to the application you need.
Each ISO filename clearly indicates the core application and version it contains.
Step 2: Create a Bootable USB Drive
You will need to create a bootable USB drive from the downloaded ISO file. You can use any of the following free tools to do this:
- Rufus (Windows)
- balenaEtcher (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Ventoy (Recommended, allows multiple ISOs on one drive)
The process is typically straightforward: select your USB drive, select the downloaded ISO file, and click "Start."
Important
Creating a bootable drive will erase all data on your USB stick. Be sure to back up any important files from the drive beforehand!
Step 3: Install and Boot
- Insert the newly created bootable USB drive into your target computer.
- Restart the computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings to set the boot order to prioritize booting from the USB device.
- Save the settings and exit. The computer will now boot from the USB drive and automatically enter the ReachOS installation screen.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Once the installation is finished, remove the USB drive and restart the computer. You can now boot into a fully configured system and start using your application immediately!
